Apartment Lease Contract
An apartment lease contract is a legal contract used to rent an apartment. An apartment lease contract is often referred to simply as a モlease.ヤ A tenant who signs a lease contract is obligated to uphold the terms of the lease, and violation of the lease terms could result in eviction and/or financial penalties. General terms and conditions of an apartment lease contract include the duration of the lease, the amount of rent and any security deposit to be paid, when rent is due and the penalties for late rent payment. An apartment lease contract may also include rules and regulations concerning the use of on site laundry facilities and other amenities such as gyms, saunas, pools and jacuzzis. Rules regarding pet ownership may also be included; in some cases, pet ownership may be disallowed entirely, while in other cases pets may be allowed with an extra monetary pet deposit.
