Eviction Tenants
When a tenant and landlord enter a lease, the landlord is granted with the legal right to evict. However, the landlord may not evict using unorthodox methods, an action often called モself helpヤ eviction. In order to file an eviction on tenants, there must be a violation of the lease, and the landlord must follow the legal process. When facing threat of eviction, tenants should know that they have the right to receive proper notice, normally 3 days, and must also receive the option of a hearing. During the length of the notice, the tenant can make attempts to negotiate the eviction with the landlord, or to simply fulfill the violation that occurred. In court, tenants will be given the opportunity to fight the eviction or plea with the court for extension.
