House Rental Contract

A house rental contract is a contractual agreement that is created for the purpose of defining the relationship between the two parties of a house rental. Although this contract can technically be oral, consisting of verbal consent, a handshake, and consent to basic terms, most contracts take the form of a written document. When renting a house, a written contract sets terms surrounding the entire arrangement, ranging from basic information of names to the detailed policies of the agreement. This will include duration of rental, the property being rented, the use of a security deposit, and terms of using the property. After being created by the landlord, the house rental contract is generally negotiated with the tenant to create an agreement that accommodates both parties. Signing the contract signifies a binding contract between landlord and tenant, which will be honored for all legal purposes. These contracts can only be terminated if one of the two parties faults on the agreed terms.
