Landlord Tenant Rights

When a landlord and tenant arrange a lease, they both take on quite a significant risk. For tenants, it is very possible to enter into a contract where they are treated unethically. Landlords run an even greater risk, as they become responsible for the actions of others, and also place their finances in jeopardy. To protect the needs of both parties, there are a range of laws and in place that define their rights during a lease. These laws, called landlord tenant rights, cover a range of rights that must be honored by both landlord and tenant. Landlords are granted with rights to be paid on time, have their property respected, and to be informed when the lease will be terminated. In addition, they are given the ability to legally evict a tenant if the terms of the lease have been violated. Conversely, the tenant has the right to remain informed as well, and is granted protection from eviction without cause.
