Letter Of Eviction
A letter of eviction is a formal letter delivered to a tenant from a landlord, and is sometimes referred to as an モeviction noticeヤ or モnotice to quit.ヤ Eviction laws can vary substantially between jurisdictions, however generally sending a letter of eviction is the first step in the eviction process. The letter of eviction informs the tenant of a landlord's intent to terminate the lease, and states the reasons why. Nonpayment of rent is one of the most common reasons for eviction. Other lease violations, such as pets on the premises, illegal activity, or destruction of the property may also lead to eviction. A letter of eviction is usually delivered personally by the landlord or sent by certified or registered mail. The tenant can then attempt to settle with the landlord by paying the due rent or otherwise correcting any lease violations. If an agreement cannot be reached, the landlord may then pursue legal action to evict the tenant from the property.
