Tenant screening and application is the first step in any potential rental agreement between a landlord and applicant.  The applicant is required to fill out a rental application form so that the landlord would have enough information to run a background check and a history check to verify and assess whether the potential tenant would be good or not.  Some common information asked on an application form include: full identification such as drivers license and social security, rental history, employment details, credit information, friend and family details, and permission to verify all details. There are many questions raised, some specific to individuals, while many are more general and common.  For example “Should I do my own credit check, instead of paying the landlord $35 to do it for me?”  Here are many of the commonly asked questions and resourceful answers in the area of tenant screening and application.
